Biography
My name is Åke Johansson and I was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on February 22, 1959.
I am an self taught artist who up until now mainly have drawn pencil portraits.
I will take up oil painting as well. I will try to paint on paper, I have never tried that before, only on canvas.
It will be interesting to try it. And then I will chose other motives besides just portraits.

Artists Haven celebrating 100 Artists
Here is a new drawing, it is a portrait of Derek Jeter, a big baseball star in the New York Yankees team.

I took part in an exhibition in Miami, Florida, USA. It ran between July 22 and August 4 2008. It was mostly artists from Latin America and other Spanish speaking countries that participated.
Here is a poster and two diplomas from that exhibition.
